The standard

Use Sidebeam for lawful, authorized, and safe work. Do not use it for NSFW or sexually explicit content, harmful content, deepfakes, face swaps, impersonation, exploitation, or attempts to evade safety controls.

1. Scope and agreement

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to every Sidebeam feature and experience, including prompts, conversations, uploaded files, image generation and editing, connected tools, generated applications, and public shares. It applies whether content is created by you, supplied by another person, or produced with an AI model.

You are responsible for your instructions, content, and use of generated results. You must ensure that you have the rights and authority required for the people, data, media, systems, and services involved in your request.

This policy forms part of the Sidebeam Terms of Service. If a restriction appears in both documents, the more protective requirement applies. Read the Terms of Service

2. Sexual and exploitative content

You must not use Sidebeam to request, create, upload, edit, store, transmit, publish, or share:

  • Pornographic, NSFW, sexually explicit, or sexually graphic content.
  • Sexually suggestive, provocative, fetish, or adult-oriented imagery or material, including content presented in galleries, showcases, generated applications, or public links.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual exploitation, sexual coercion, or content intended to sexualize, shame, harass, or blackmail a person.
  • Any sexualized, exploitative, or abusive content involving or depicting a minor, a person presented as a minor, or an ambiguous-age person. This prohibition includes fictional, illustrated, and AI-generated content.

3. Deepfakes, face swaps, and deceptive identity use

Sidebeam may not be used to create or facilitate deceptive or manipulated representations of a person.

  • Do not create, edit, distribute, or help produce face swaps, deepfakes, synthetic impersonations, or other face- or identity-manipulated media, whether or not the depicted person appears to consent.
  • Do not impersonate another person or falsely claim their endorsement, approval, authorship, identity, or affiliation.
  • Do not create false identity documents, deceptive evidence, fabricated records, or media intended to mislead people about a real event or person.

4. Harmful, abusive, and unlawful activity

You must not use Sidebeam to cause, encourage, coordinate, or materially facilitate harm, abuse, or unlawful activity, including:

  • Credible threats, graphic abuse, violent extremism, terrorism, or instructions intended to help carry out physical harm.
  • Hateful, dehumanizing, harassing, stalking, or targeted abusive content based on protected characteristics or directed at an individual.
  • Content that encourages, praises, or provides actionable instructions for suicide, self-harm, or eating-disorder behavior.
  • Fraud, scams, extortion, trafficking, illegal weapons or drugs, evasion of law enforcement, or other unlawful conduct.
  • Malware, credential theft, phishing, unauthorized access, destructive code, or instructions intended to compromise systems, accounts, or data.

5. Rights, privacy, and public sharing

Respect the rights, safety, and reasonable expectations of other people.

  • Do not expose, infer, or misuse private, confidential, intimate, or sensitive information without lawful authority.
  • Do not infringe intellectual property, publicity, personality, contractual, or other legal rights.
  • Do not collect, identify, track, or profile people in ways that are unlawful, covert, discriminatory, or likely to cause harm.
  • Do not use public links, generated applications, galleries, or other sharing features to distribute content prohibited by this policy.

6. Safety controls and responsible use

Safety checks support this policy but do not replace your responsibility to use Sidebeam appropriately.

  • Do not evade, disable, probe for weaknesses in, or repeatedly attempt to bypass moderation, rate limits, access controls, warnings, or other safeguards.
  • Do not use production features to systematically test prohibited prompts or outputs. Contact Sidebeam before conducting authorized safety or security research.
  • A generated result, an allowed moderation decision, or the absence of a warning does not mean that content is lawful, accurate, safe, or permitted under this policy.

7. Enforcement

Sidebeam may use automated and human review, investigate reports, and retain limited safety records as permitted by the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may refuse or stop a request, restrict sharing, remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate an account, preserve evidence, or take other proportionate action when we reasonably believe this policy has been violated or that continued use presents a risk.

We may comply with valid legal requests and report apparent exploitation, threats, or unlawful activity when required or permitted by law.

8. Changes, questions, and reports

We may update this policy as Sidebeam, applicable law, and safety practices evolve. We will update the effective date above and provide additional notice where required.
